It will be interesting to see how the elected officials who pushed for this, who voted for this, who promoted this monstrosity as *not* being a tax, will now explain how SCOTUS allowed it to stand, only because it *is* a tax.  It could not stand under the commerce clause, but with the power of the congress to tax, it becomes the largest tax increase in the history of the U.S.A.

I say it’s time for a real change, a change of elected officials.  The first Tuesday in November can’t get here soon enough.

Update: the spinmeisters are already at work trying to convince the American people that this is *not* a tax.  Sure wish SCOTUS had listened to the president and the democrats in congress insisting that this is not a tax.  Maybe then the vote would have gone against obamacare for being unconstitutional, which it actually is.

  • Yesterday, Saturday, October 20, we had a Rally for Religious Freedom in front of the Gallatin County courthouse. I thought one of the speakers, Roger Koopman, made a tremendous point in saying it’s not ‘Obamacare’, because there’s really no ‘care’ in it. Instead, we should be referring to it as Obama Health Control, as it’s endeavoring to control every aspect of our lives, and mandate things which go against the conscience of many religious people and groups.

I came across this profound quote of President Ronald Reagan that is worth sharing:
